dash + lights help
« on: Feb 21, 2009, 10:50PM »
Hey, i was about to pick my miss's up from work tonight(11pm)
and i turned my headlights on and i've got no dash lights or rear lights.
sometimes they turn on but takes forever.

uhh im not sure if its a loose wire or faulty switch, but since the front headlights work its confusing me a little.
and ideas on this?

Check out the tail light fuse. Make sure it's tight in the holder (good electrical contact), and I'd replace it with a new one anyway. They're cheap, and sometimes they look fine, but have a small crack in them.

Otherwise, check out the switch at the base of the indicator stalk like you said. You can pull these apart and clean them with contact cleaner if the contacts look dirty. Or you could just source a new one.
