« on: Nov 9, 2010, 04:11PM »
ok so ive been an antrx troll the last few days and going through all the forums and i read that if you change the bumper reinforcment with a n14 pulsar one the front bumpers are a direct bolt on.

I have a red Ka corsair with a trx rear bumper lowered on 16x7s etc etc now what do you guys reckon if i had this front bumper on it ???

thats if the forums were right about this.

good opinion or bad let me hear them :)

don't think so aye, i bet you that bumper would finish under the headlights, our cars have a big frontal overhang and are quite square. stock bumpers with bigger wheels seems the go, 17's or 18's...

your problem will be at the sides, you'll have to fill out the sides like Dano did in his project.  This actually looks pretty close to my modified R33 bumper... just a bigger mouth.

I didnt mind the look, think that pulsar one would work better than mine.

You can see I had to fill in the section between the corner light and the wheel arch.  basically it involved some base material to build out the gap about 30mm in some places (I use sheet metal).  Then fiberglass over the top and filler over that.  Took a day to get it close to right.

Very minor, but the plastic fairing inside the wheel arch no longer connected to the front bar... It flapped around and scared the crap out of me for the first time.

Ok dude I'm just hoping the fucker will fit. Ive heard about a few people using n14 bumpers and changing the reinforcement bar. Has anyone else on here done this ? I'll measure my bros SSS front bar tomorrow.

If the N14 bumper reo bar doesnt fit you can move the U12 one back about 40mm by using the different mounting bolt holes.  From memory you need to either tac weld a nut or have really tiny hands to hold it.  Let me know if you need this option and I'll get photos.

the front bar on the sss was origanaly made for an r32 but can be fitted to a pintara ive done similar before its as easy as cutting the top section of the pintara one then cutting the top of the bar of your choice at the desired hight then slightly over lap the two then rivet right the way around  the bar should take the shape of the pintara bar at the top then it will need to be glassed over and bog and fared
