sourcing a brake master cylinder

Does anyone have a rough price?  and where abouts i can look for one?  is it a u12 specific item, or can i use a brake master cylinder from another vehicle?

They are specific.

I understand that the CA20E and the KA24E brake masters are the same.  The import bluebirds are differant again (due to ABS).  Differant bore size.

a standard non ABS master cylinder for the U12 after market new is around the $300 mark. We'll thats what i was quoted. I'm sure you can find a reco one for less than that but there by no means cheap.

generally as a rule of thumb, i should use my own resources before i start posting topics here.  sorry guys

i called around the wreckers, and i just picked up one for $45 that comes with a 3 month warranty...
