i dont know wether its any thing to worry about but every now and then the battery light comes on dimmly the battery seems fine and hasnt been sluggish to start at all but it worries me that the alternator might be going
i really hope it might just be a bad earth somewhere but i was wondering if any one else has had this problem and if there are any things i can check before i go to an auto electrician

Click me, for topically related fun and games!  And perhaps, just a suggestion, not being pushy or anything, darlings, but maybe be trying the searching button?[/b][/color]

Not that I expect this to solve your problem, but it should allay your fears.  And yes, if you care, my battery and fuel lights still come on intermittently.  When this occurs, the cluster lights get brighter, and the climate fans spin like twice as fast.  I haven't been bothered fixing it, and it's been like this for nearly two years now.  Don't panic.
