you mean the coax cable that goes to the acutal antenna? i think we need a pic mate. there might be an adaptor available. I know sanyo head units (shit i know but its my example) have a weird assed connection and come with an adaptor in the box.

You can get an adapter from tonkins to make this right.. or basically anywhere that does Aerpro stuff.. part number is AP348A Nissan Diversity Adaptor - Aftermarket Radio to Factory Antenna (http://www.aerpro.com.au)

That should solve ur problem  :)

has this thread been changed.. looks odd.

anyway, i couldn't find a hole through the firewall to put the power cable so i put it over the front left quarter panel. it goes along the edge of the engine bay (fuse bolted to the left strut tower) through the gap between the a-pillar and the passenger door then down into the door jamb and through the grommet on the door jamb into the cabin. hope that makes sense, the power cable enters the cabin from the passenger kick panel.

i'm sure someone else who could be bothered did some drilling and found a better way than this but i went the easy option cos it was raining. should be fine, nothing hits it and the door doesn't clip it when open. this way requires no drilling except for securing the fuse.

Just as a side note, I installed subs in my car a couple of weeks ago, and ran 2 guage cable from the battery into the boot.
I found a handy spot to put the power cable through the firewall, its towards the top on the passenger side, there are already some wires going through it but its a very large hole, so I just cut a hole in the rubber surround.

The tricky part was feeding the cable through, because it was so thick and the carpet was in the way and stuff, I solved that problem by feeding a much smaller wire through first and tying it to the large cable so it was easy to pull through.

The easy bit was feeding the cable along the side of the car, because as I'm sure a lot of you realise, there are handy plastic channel things in the bluebirds for putting wiring along.

If anyone would like photos of the wiring install under the bonnet, let me know.

I currently run mine through the ECU wiring loom entry hole (my gromet doesnt fit anyways).  Have done installs and ran it though the Air Con holes (no air con installed).  Otherwise its round the side of the car near the quarter panel then in through the pillar where many of the door wires go.

Almost all cars have various grommets in the firewall that can be used to run cables through. Just poke a hole in the grommet and pull the cable through using either a straightned coathanger or a draw wire.

I've never had to run an amp power wire through a door grommet.
