U13 Bluebird SSS Attesa
« on: Jan 11, 2004, 10:54AM »
This is the beginnning of some work me and a few others will be doing where we will create a thread that explains everything you need to know about your car - weight, power, options, standard features, colour, suspension, brakes, basically how you could go to a dealer in Oz or Japan and buy a brand new Nissan.  This is my beginning of the U13 SSS Jap-spec one, so it's very basic at this stage.  Can you leave responses to this for a while, unless it is more info you think is valuable to what we're trying to achieve.

thanks
TeamManSnag

Homer!  What have you done to the car?  I don't think it had broken axles before.

Before!  Before!  You're living in the past, Marge.  Quit living in the past.

What, I never said I didn't like it asshat! :P

At least I don't think I did... but if I did, then I'm the asshat.

Is it really a 5.6m turning radius?

How much fuel does an atessa use? Is it comparable to a pintara?

There is also an optional rear body kit for the Atessa, although it's ridiculously rare.  Two side flaps on the rear bumper/quarter panel area!  You also forgot standard polyurethane sideskirts, which I believe came on all SSS's.

just thought i'd add

drivetrain has viscous differentials centre & rear, open diff in the front. all the other figures seem about right.

the electric adjustable seats are not standard

the engine is effectively idential to 180sx/silva red-top sr20s. the ignition parts from NX coupes etc are basically identical and all interchangable.

In regards to the driveline, the front diff can be either open or viscous as my car has a vsld.  No easy way to check, but I will take a measurement of the transfer and let you know as the vlsd casing is about 20mm wider.

ratios for auto are as follows:
1st - 2.785
2nd - 1.545
3rd - 1
4th - .694
reverse - 3.619

i got that from the gearbox specs from a normal fwd bluebird, cause the gearbox internals are the same. different hydraulic control and diff gears. gearbox model is re4f04 (which is followed by a letter designating what diff is in it - A for a normal fwd open centre, and V for a viscous centre).

dont know if the manuals are the same with different diffs, as i havent looked under the bonnet and had a look at one.
