Hey mate, have you ever actually done that conversion to one of these rear ends (gazelle)?

I am led to believe that they will not actually "bolt up" without some modification/fabrication for the backing plate to fit.
Please correct me if wrong, as that'd save me a lot of searching and money!

Also, have been told that the handbrake is then a nightmare when using r31 rear, but with the TRX conversion I know how to make it work (plus I know the conversion is a 100% bolt on job)

live axle gazelle rear is drum brake

live axle 910 trx rear is disc brake

live axle r31 rear is disc brake

i would imagine that r31 disc brake parts bolt to the 910 disc axle.. but the gazelle has a drum suited axle.
i've never seen a trx rear axles in person, but i assume there'd be a difference with the gazelle and thus not bolt on for me?

(don't want to spend $120 and then have brakes that need fabrication to fit)

Nevermind!
Found an entire rear assembly, good price too.  ;D

If anyone does ever have a s3 rear setup for sale though, head on over to aus12.org and I am SURE you will find someone in your state very keen to buy it! We are always after them!
