What size is the standard Trx exhaust
« on: Oct 7, 2003, 05:18AM »
i was just curious what size is the standard exhaust is on the TR.X, mine has a 2.5 inch tip and is 2.25 inches between the Catalytic Converter and the muffler... is this the standard size  size for the TR.X from the factory? it definitely does not sound factory 8)

thanks

standard piping is about 1.75-1.9" i think. If you exhaust measures 2.25" in diameter between the cat and muffler, it's not standard.

some old people are wild ones you know ;D

I think all TRX's came out with a 2.5" tip - it makes them sound a little more aggressive during hard accelleration and it just looks better.

Yeah i can vouch for that the old people that owned my car before me got  extractors put on it, although what they said to me is that they din't care about extra performance they got it because of the strngth of it over the standard manifold which had cracked on them.

oh well like i care one less mod i had to do  ;D
