$300??
several of my mates have got that done and it only cost $25 per guard??
(from a panel beater)

maybe try to get a few more quotes? I think this would be quite a difficult job considering the odd shape of the part.

i got mine done for about $35 each corner at camerons body works in coopers plains brisbane. they do good stuff there. even though they used a heat gun it still cracked the old paint. but once it was done it didnt scrub at all. then i lowered it even more and now it scrubs where the bumper attaches to the body on hard turns. dont know what to do now ??? might get modified...

I went to get my guards rolled at Donnallen Tyres and they quoted me something like $75 per tyre or something around there - I cant remember as it was quite a while ago. They also said because the guards get so hot, it might damage the paint. So I left.

I got an angle grinder, bought a new grinding wheel from Bunnings for like $5 and grinded it myself. It helped somewhat, but not 100%. I guess I gotta grind it some more. But the problem is not fixed properly like I would want it to be.

Last night I went for a drive around Geelong with a full car (5 people).

The rear tyres were right up inside the guards, about 1.5" up there.  They clear the guards by a bees dick.

On the front I've done the pliers and rag job, to bend the edges back a bit.  Lucikly the back didn't need to be touched.

Is guard rolling wat i need to do for my rear? the front is fine but the tires hit the edge of the guard it i go over a pump.... and there is around 2 cms clears between the tyre and the guard... if the guards were a lil bit thinner or pushed outs slighty the tyres would be fine  ???

oh and joczy did you already roll the rear? and can it be done moreso?

ziin: the guards rolled on ur car were done with a hydralic roller which of course bends up the inside of the guard, any further work will have to be done by a panel beater as they will have to flare the guards out a bit, unfortunately its quite expensive due to the time involved. mates mr2 got done to fit 18's and 3 inches lower and the rears costed him around 300 to flare which included the paint job for that area although they had to flare em out about 3cm, but when ur working with rims that costed him 4000, 300 bucks wasnt that much and that was mates rates too. Ur suspension is also very stiff, dunno what alse to do there.

JAYJAY, i got really really stiff suspension, still have about 3cm clearance on the back, i can get it to scrape, lol.  My guards are semi rolled but need more attention.  Whoever did then didnt finish their job properly, my tyres have small slashes when it scrubs!
