Mitza,

I still have my ECU hanging out from when I did my powerchip install. When I'm in Sydney in a bit, I will show you the difference between standard and silver powerchip because I can swap them over quite easily.

Great..looking forward to it adam J!
For the record, why did you get a silver over a gold chip?
Was it $$$$$ :P Or for other reasons, llike the car couldnt handle a gold one or something? Hate to put one it and blow my engine to pieces!
Thanx

Because the price difference between the "silver" chip I was being offered and the "gold" chip, was quite large. I didn't buy my powerchip from powerchip...

hey i would be VERY keen to be part of that group discount thing!  :D
I see that they don't have the price for the ca20e powerchip? would it be the same as the ka24e, or lower, or more? anyone know? I have emailed them twice but they havent emailed me back! >:(

If we could get the price down to $400 for a 12kW gain, then we would be laughing! ;D

I spoke to a guy named Lance and he told me that the prices for a ca20e and a ka24e are the same (or close enough to).  I'm looking at a Gold for my 2.0 so if I've got it before you do, I'll let you know if it's worth it.

I think you are under-quoting the chip AJ. Its specs are based on the current GOLD offering [but not the G98] ;)

It's perfectly normal for you to be having visions of a beige Pintara.  It is the ultimate car and fills your dreams all the time, doesn't it, my friend?

ok i have to support my fellow beige pintara owner....yes thats right BEIGE with gold strip at the bottom..come to think of it, its the same as the pintara on martins pintara website. maybe its white and the gold makes it look beige....yep thats it white and gold, no beige here either, looks like shaunk is all alone again. anyhow i phoned this place called jd performance in brisbane, wouldnt respray my car for less than $4,800, so i said could you do it for $500 hundred...? and next minute all i heard was  beep..beep..beep, he must have been cut off! but i think he was happy with that price.

i've had it for about two weeks... i'm just getting used to it at the moment.

it's stock as with 105000kms and straight body... my plans include -
super pro bushes all round
slotted rotors big brakes
suspension - half cage
cusco pulley and cams
and lots of little stuff

don't get me wrong, the trx is a great car and goes hard, hence why i've kept it close.  ;)

I think sssgtr is talking about other computers such as Unichip, Motec, Haltech, etc...probably Unichip based on the $$$ figure he quoted. Although I have been hearing a bit lately about a relatively new one on the market thats fairly cheap. Of course the name escapes me ATM.

I paid approx $1,100 for my Unichip and it is reprogrammable and the best thing is I can take it out and have it tuned on my next car - as long as its Japanese - which won't pose any problems!

Powerchips are good for the money but AFAIK they can NOT be re-programmed [successfully]. So its best to buy it last after you have finished all of your planned mods...like anyone really finishes once they start? ;D
