Clutch slave cylinder replacement?
« on: Apr 4, 2009, 12:04AM »
Has anyone had to replace a clutch slave cylinder on their U13 attesa?? Mine has gone....managed to go right in the middle of the city. Wasn't that fun....but anyway lol.. So just wondering, is this an engine out job or should i be able to replace it from underneath? If its an engine out job i think ill end up cutting my losses on the car :( But hopefully its not. Any helps would be awesome.

Thanks in advance

Brendan

Definately not engine out, maybe remove the intake pipe at most. It's just bolted to the ouside of the gearbox bellhousing facing the front of the car.

The black thingo with the orange bolt on it:

AFAIK no aftermarket alternative is avaliable through the usual outlets - they all have the wrong part number so I'd advise not bothering. Genuine nissan is the way to go in this case, I think it was $50-70 for a genuine nissan item.

Part number is 30620-80E21, which looks like it is superceeded by 30620-80E60 and 30620-80E61, which is then superceeded again by a part# I don't have :P

Just give them 30620-80E60 and they should be able to figure it out :)

They're usually $20-40 aftermarket.

Aftermarket one's don't fit though Jono. I bought a PBR one for a gti-r and it just didn't fit.
