GTiR Engine conversion
« on: Jan 28, 2009, 09:50PM »
Hi,

I am currently thinking of putting the GTiR SR into my U13. Has this been done before? (I'm assuming it prolly has). Just wondering what sort of difficulties I might come across in doing this? Is it a worthwhile conversion? I know its very similar, but its either that or rebuild the one i have now. I know that its prolly cheaper and easier to buy a new car....but where is the fun in that :D

Any input or suggestions would be great.

i think the gtir has slightly different engine mounts and diffrent gearbox bolt patterns, but most of the gearbox bolt holes can be used i believe.

budgie might be able to help you out with pointers on this one, not sure.

so I guess it can be done then lol. Do u know how much work was required to fit it? And I will be doing the conversion myself. Well that's the plan. It won't be an overnight thing so I have time lol
