I'm going to be a bit daft here, but is there any real DIFFERENCE in thermostats in cars? Other than whether they're clay/pneumatic etc.. It seems just about every one I see is identical. Is this a universal part? Or would I need a specific model for mine?

Specific, they also come in different sizes.

Thought so, was being hopeful. Cheer

They open at a variety of temps too.

For anyone reading this in the future, Triton make a thermostat for the U12, it *does* fit a variety of other cars, too..
also, save yourself hassle, get a thermostat gasket, even though the manuals just suggest using liquid gasket. $5 that will save you a lot of heartache. And still use the liquid gasket. Can never have enough gasket.

I get my thermostats for free, along with other various items such as iridium plugs :P
