Later model steering wheel.
« on: Jun 23, 2010, 10:51AM »
Im curious to see if anyone has ever fitted a steering wheel from a later model nissan to their U12/U13.  I'm aware that S13/14/15 and R32/33/34 wheels will fit, but Im talking later than that. Would really like to put a V35 skyline wheel on my bluey, would really modern the place up. I just need to know if the splines and centre bolt are the same. If it will bolt up, I'm confident I can retrofit the stereo controls and the cruise control, and I can just remove the airbag as my car isn't fitted with one. If not the V35, then maybe a maxima or 350/370Z wheel, even the Tiida steering wheel is a nice piece of kit, any info would be much appreciated.

Here is the wheel I am looking at:

Jason reffering to the OzVR4 Forum... "Even their forum is slow" "FJ20.com on the other hand, yep that S12 does Mono's"

There are different offsets as well, a U13 wheel on a U12 will sit back further towards the driver, which means you need to reach further to the stalks.
