wiring diagram
« on: Apr 2, 2005, 03:57PM »
ok i just need confirmation as to what these wires are as I'm about to try and install a turbo timer

from the key switch wires are as follows

black-green   -   starter signal
red              -   on
black-yellow  -   starter signal

white-red     -   12V constant
black-grey   -   on
blue            -    accessory

I just bought a greddy timer with 3 wires to connect
i figure i just connect 2 wires to the ON wires and one to the power 12V one

i just need reassurance of the wires coming from the key switch as it said there should only be 5 wires.
im fairly sure its correct as i used a test light on the connections and came up with this conclusion.

Wanneroo (Barbagallos) short track time 63 seconds (58 - Evo) long track 79 (69 - Evo)

When I had my turbo timer wired in, the guy put in a spacer in the key button release.  That will allow you to release the key while the car is still running.  A bit dodgy but works or atleast so far.

if you have an alarm without a turbo timer function, you have to install a 5 pin relay, otherwise you wont be able to arm the car running. Better to let your electrician mate to do it.

Yes you are right about the alarm thing.  I have to wait for the turbo timer to turn the car off before I can remotely arm and lock the car.  However, if I lock the doors using the drivers central locking and close the driver's door while holding the handle up it works too.  Car's locked and after 30 seconds the alarm kicks in and imobilisers the car automatically.
