New car in the works
« on: Mar 23, 2005, 09:07PM »
Well everyone i'm buying a new car. It's a 1990 Nissan Pintara TRX with a 1992 2.4 litre KA24E engine in it.
5 speed manual, power steering (which is something the corsair doesn't have), $2300-00 worth of suspension, $700 Autotechnica front bucket seats, extractors, a pod filter and CAI installed, a lukey performance exhaust with cannon, 16" mags with falken road tyres.
It doesn't have any form of stereo in it what so ever because it used to have a hgh end system in it which the current owner decided to remove. This suits me as i'd be inclined to purchase my own one and install it over time. It comes with the original motor of the car, two door panels in pristine condition (as the ones in it have small holes cut out to place tweeters in), the original seats of the car, an original Pintara TRX rear spoiler and an original TRX steering wheel.
Anyways they say a picture tells a thousand words so if someone would kindly i'll load em up and show you all.

yep Colzie just a quick question, because i havent taken delivery of the car yet (because i've not paid for it yet) is there some problem with the legality of showing the number plate etc? The owner has apparently frequented here and might get annoyed, i think i'll just mspaint them out now to be sure (Y)

Yes it is, and it looks good in the afternoon sunshine. I'm told it was put there because it was melting with the heat from the exhaust.

if the guy frequented here he probably would have read us taking the piss out of his advert on carsales saying that it has a custom bodykit.

Not bad mate. That rear bar is a bit  ::) but each to their own. Id recommend giving the engine bay a bit of sprucing up, especially those extractors. Setting fire to the checkerplarte mats is also an option.

You know, i was about to suggest that Bogan lol. He knows its not a custom bodykit as such and that its the original one which came with the car.
It comes with the rear spoiler and steering wheel which is a good solid piece of equipment and could shine up nicely .. thanks for your input guys, i'm just about to make a list of what would need to be fixed.

Nice shoes  :P
TeamManSnag

Homer!  What have you done to the car?  I don't think it had broken axles before.

Before!  Before!  You're living in the past, Marge.  Quit living in the past.

What, I never said I didn't like it asshat! :P

At least I don't think I did... but if I did, then I'm the asshat.

Sorry but i'm not saying much until i get the car (which looks like it's going to be today, rest assured that i'll make a post as soon as i get back from it's maiden voyage.)
I've made a list of things to do maintenance wise.

I'm probably better off changing all accessible fluids and filters before i start driving it around.
A good wash and wax and a clean comes into this section because it's got lots of shit on it from sitting out in the yard where it is.
High pressure water spray the undercarriage and suspension to remove all the shit that has accumulated there
Remove ladies high heeled shoes  ::)
Polish original steering wheel and put onto car (any legality problems with this? - i am told that it's fine but just checking)
Fix the damn rivets holding the rear stainless steel bumper on! (I'll be easy to spot when driving)
