Finding model/part numbers - a website for it
« on: Nov 4, 2011, 07:14AM »
Hey guys, no idea if everyone knows about this or whatnot, but I thought i'd throw it out there;

http://www.japancars.ru/cat/nissan/?carea=US <-- a russian site, but it has diagrams and part numbers for everything in the FSM. Kind of a hit an miss, going through the U12 Stanza, half the parts "dont apply to this car". Apparently our cars dont have fuel tanks, engines, or gaskets.

Still, better than nothing

If you're just after parts numbers I'd suggest having a look at the supercheap auto parts guide:

http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/parts_guide/default.aspx

I do work for supershit, but it's actually quite a useful tool. Basically, it's a collection of all the aftermarket part catalogs supercheap have access to and includes prices as well. It's an online version of what we use in-store and so is handy if you want to avoid retards at places like supercheap/repco/autopro from giving/ordering you the wrong part.

It's not bad, but it doesn't have the same extensive listings as japancars. Japancars has model numbers for each individual item. Point in case, the item I originally used it for, a fuel tank o-ring, isn't on supercheap. Granted, supercheap is much easier for more common things, but japancars is much more extensive. Individual clamps, bolts, etc....
