Its 147kw on the turbo 200sx [all models] Oz delivered.
Also notice it had a + next to it ;) on fmx_riders post.

Simply asking a question Sik, fmx can answer himself.

If you want to talk about the + then sure I can help you with 1 to 1 correspondance, countback, recognition, metacognition techniques and more. But hey what do I know  ???

Depending on whether the sr20det is out of a U12 or U13 will make a difference to its output. As they say no two engines are ever the same tho.

There is actually some conflict between what the SR20DET makes. Some have it at 147kw for the S14 Aust Spec (and 165kw for jap spec) while others have it at 153kw for both the S13 and S14 Aust spec. Gti-R makes 171kw.The bluebird, both U12 and U13 make 155kw (jap spec).
I used 147kw as it is the most poplular output of the SR20DET, but yeah, should really have used 155kw as it is more applicable for us with FWD applications for it (thus the Bluebird engine). The U13 Bluebird non turbo makes 112kw.

Orright, for starters, the GTiR engine is a seperate SR20, and has very different internals to other sr20's.

Secondly, if you are forking out only $1500-ish for a quad-throttle setup, the $1400 for an aftermarket ECU is not so bad, cos if you ever wnat to go further with your mods, the ability to easily retune is already there, instead of getting it re-chipped over and over to cope with each mod.

Instead of porting and polishing the SOHC head, has anyone researched the feasability of the DOHC KA24 head from the Aussie spec U13? Many Nissan heads are interchangeable. It could be an easy budget mod, as DOHC always gives greater volumetric efficiency and a higher rev capacity.

I researched the DOHC head swap a while back and actually found that alot of people with DOHC heads were swapping to SOHC ones....(mainly in drag racing in the states)
- DOHC heads are significantly heavier than the SOHC ones
- Timing gear, ECU, distributor and a lot of other crap has to be changed over
- As a bang for the buck conversion you lose money....
- The SOHC head breathes ok considering it's single cam, it just needs some work.

I am investigating EVERY AVENUE in improving the SOHC head, inlcuding solid lifters (instead of hydraulic), roller rockers, larger valves, 3 angle valve job, some not too expensive lighterweight valvetrain items etc.

Quite a few of us here have considered this "head swap". Most wreckers wont just sell you the head off a good working engine is the first problem. And there are not many U13's [ka24de] around pick-a-part!

I got a costing on parts and this totalled nearly $2000 before any labour. This did include the whole engine [will not sep.], alt, ecu, wiring and distributor though. Not really worth it for 16Kw & 21Nm IMO.

I agree it is not worth it in terms of a stand-alone conversion, but  I feel it may create a better platform for later mods (namley forced induction). But if the pure head swap is a hassle, mebbe  I  should think about a total swap to the DOHC mill......hmmmm

i could of had a complete DOHC head a few weeks back for $450, which isnt too bad.. but, it turns out a bit pricey for the the power increase u get.
