New pintara owner :)
« on: Aug 31, 2013, 03:17PM »
Hey everybody, ive recently bought my first pintara ('90 executive wagon) which im told is i  pretty good shape for uts age and theres a few things to fix but im looking for sone info on where i can start upgrading performance wise. I understand its not a good idea to upgrade an engine with out doin the brakes n suspension so maybe thats a good place to start?
Im realy new to all this so forgive my ignorance but help would be much .

Ahh RWD?

Not many people to up Ca20's; dont let that deture you though.

An intake, exhaust and cam could see some decent gains.
Money to Power ratio isn't great unless you take the turbo route (so I've heard)

Check out the Project sections for some ideas.
Pretty sure I read about a dude putting a Ca18DE head on his Ca20e..

Throw some pics up too!

My plan ia to eventually put a  SR20 if it'll fit n go from there but in the meantime i'll probably work on the suspenson n brakes n other lil bits which need to be replaced.

Id do other work if you're not gonna keep the engine :) Lost PLENTY of V8's on mountains because they're boats.

Lots of discussion about brakes and upgrades ect in different topics :)

Stick a LS motor in it. LS1's are quite cheap these days, and will be an epic improvement!
