its like a rubber bumper that goes on your shocks which stops them bottoming out. Normally attached to the rubber boot.

If your running the right sized profile to match i can see how its an issue as i run 17's with the lowest suspension available off the shelf and i only scrub if i hit a massive bump going very fast.

Bump stops you need one for each corner, so 4.

Is this a U12 or U13?

tyres are too big for a u12 anyway, but either get bump stops, roll your guards properly or get the correct legal sized tyres.

ah, was standard but now on king springs low, still seems more than ample enough clearance though.

My U12 is at stock height, stock springs. keeping in mind it has an LPG tank here.

on my old tyres, 215/40/ZR17, not a single problem with bottoming out or cutting tyres.
now ive upgraded to 215/45/R17, and it cuts my tyres so often. Rolled the guard lip thingo on the inside, but it still does it. Its currently about to get lowered on Lows at the back, so ill see how it is then.

Yeah I currently have 215/45/R17 tyres, they cut really bad on the rear with stock springs, I rolled the guards and it still did it a little bit, I worked out that  it was cutting at the lower part of the arch in the guard, I just hammered it in and its sweet now. ;)

Im also running 215/45/R17 but only 1 of my back tires scrapes (on the same bit urs does) and it accualy coursed 1/2 my back bumper to fall off. I put it down to stock old rear struts. Put new rear struts in and it should fix the problem.

Stuffing around with suspension won't fix the problem but it will probably lessen it.

The problem is that the tyres are hitting the body at a certain point in the suspension travel. Find where the tyre or wheel is hitting the car and do what you can to modify the body so it doesn't touch. You can roll the guards, bash the wheel tubs out with a hammer (it's actually double-skinned inside the flares), or you can get different size tyres or different offset wheels, get your wheels modified to less offset...

It all depends what part of the body of the car your wheels are hitting.

I dropped mine 3 inches with 205/60 (i think) tyres, no issues whatsoever.

Damn your car is low though  ;D

i know its the rear, but if it happens on the front, could be the bearing plates..
