What causing it
Power hopping, or wheel hop, is one of the main problems because of warn engine  mounts. When the engine torques  it puts pressure on the engine  mounts causing  tearing before it goes through to the wheels. Once the engine  mounts are pushed to the limit the wheels start to put power down . What can happen is that the motor can bounce violently cause much less power  to hit the ground.  tension in the bushings and cause the car to hop.

1 get your engine mount and scrap out all the rubber with a drill bit and  paint scraper
after thats done clean the center with a wire brush and kerosene a cleaning agent   now get a washer or some thing
with the washer but it on top of you engine mount make sure the center of the engine mount is cented and now with a welder do a tack weld on the washer and engine mount and turn it over but don't tack the center of the engine mount it should fit in the hole in the middle of the washer now with A tube of 3M's window weld and a corking  gun put it into the engine mount and leave to set for 24 hours to let it  cure

and install yer i did change it will upload pics from my other computer once it is free of virus

thanks to martybugs  and of course antrx  the picture resources are from martybugs
as my friend doesn't have a cam to take pictures and i didn't take mine

I'm just going to put it out there that I have a problem with this thread :) Mainly because you've simply copied and pasted from marty's website then added a "my friend and I" or two here and there. Even though you did credit him...

Also I am failing to see the point of this topic, basically all you have said is that you and your friend scraped the rubber out of your mounts and that neither of you have cameras. Maybe a simple "hey guys check this page out: http://martybugs.net/Pintara/mount.cgi" would have been a better option, although even then I'm sure most u12 owners here have seen the martybugs website before.

plus, if you actually bothered to look at the copyright page on his website: http://martybugs.net/copyright.cgi you'll see that you have just blatantly breached it :D

Just do what i did with mine whent to purple pig got them to make it no movement but makes the car smake ,
i tride making my own but they just ended up going again to much strain and the stock engine mounts where never designed for that much force so any one who is trying to get 13 sec or faster with front wheel drive change the bash's right over the car to polyurethane and change the engine mounts by going to purple pig with ur old ones and they will make new inserts alot cheapper in log run.
and change front shocks they tend to course a few problems when launching at 7 grand if stock they tend to smake your exhaust and turbo pipping right into the ground not cool at all .
happy days
white line makes a kit for hnu12 no idea how much it cost anymore:)
What's one thing that keep's me going that i can see you harf a mile behind. what makes me said that i just blew my engine again and im stuck with no ride again
