prob 3 im leakin oil from the rocket cover coz its loose as a mechanic f***ed 2 threads the bolts go into. not really sure how to use a tap and die. is it an easy do it urself or would u recommend a pro to do it

i have searched around but havnt really found wat im lookin for.

i live in adelaide so any help is gladly appricated

if the boot is gone i would suggest that you need to rebuild your ps rack as you've probably done a seal inside. i doubt it would be the fuel pump itself, but more a line.

download the FSM and give the section a good going over, then make a decision whether u can do it yourself or not. with a few tools you should be able to though

the rubber seal on the ps rack is broken
are you talking about a seal or the DUST BOOT - big difference

refill fluid ( use auto trans dex2/3) & see where it's leaking from
-if you drive around dry too long , I think you can fuck up the pump.

-the high pressure (rubber) hose is a more common failure in older cars

if the actual rack is stuffed - if your lucky u can find a good one at Upullit - for $95 ( I did a year  or so ago) - much easier(cheaper) than rebuild.

not really sure how to use a tap and die
just need a tap - take a screw(ROCKER cover) and get a tap thats the same size/thread pitch and rechase the hole - that may be enough - if not then get the next tap up (ie wider & new bigger bolt/screw) - if that sounds too hard - get the mechanic who buggered it to fix it for free

ffourc well said. If a boot is cracked on the rack its a $10 fix.
High pressure hoses get pin hole leaks, check the underside of your bonnet and engine bay on the right side near the intake manifold. $110 from enzed using original fittings and new hose or $250 from nissan

Your car may be able to go faster.
But I can go any where. except into a garage, underground carpark, bridge...

2 sticks and manual locking hubs. have to get out to drive it around
Good old Nissan.

KA's are the shit. According to all the info on the site, they are better then sliced bread and thats saying something.
