Over Heating Problem
« on: Oct 26, 2002, 05:04AM »
Guys, Like Ive mentioned in numerous threads, My car has a problem with over heating during traffic, especially in the hotter days.
Ive put it down to the fans not working correctly. When I first bought the car, the fans werent coming on at all. I had the temp. sensor switch changed and they seemed to work fine. Now, what I think is happening, is they come on...when the temp gauge hits the half way mark, but only for no shoit, about 15 seconds, then go off. Whats going on here? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

yea mine comes on at the half way mark ...just so the temp doesn't go higher than the top dot. ....u do have enough coolant in it? hehe .... in the actual radiator and overflow container?.........for it coming on for only 15 secs .........maybe thats all it needed to stay below the top dot. ...or maybe there is something wrong there....ok...i will shut up now :D
