yeah air filter box.. theres a pipe coming from the head into the pipe that conects to the t/b and on the other end is the box.. i did take the lid off the filter for a little while . could that be why >??
why uh oh lol ??
it's sounding like its running fine.. idling bit low.. drives fine e.t.c. and everyone who's heard it says it sounds fine to // think theres a minor oil leak..
tiny.. but . .

don't worry about it. My pintara same as yours has been doing it for years. There's possibly some oil getting back past the PCV valve.

if you felt all enthusiastic, undo the big hose that runs into the top of the rocker cover and clean all the crap out of there, but it'll still do it.

Can't kill the engine, mine's 360,000 plus and still going.

Ohh and was going to add this to ^^^ above post but eh..
same problem as you wombat ..
but my car wont rev past 4k.. but my plugs are up for a change.. that fixed the cutting out bit last time..
but the 4k thing  >:( i dont know..
after i put the tacho on ..
could my tacho be f'd ? ?
it idles at like 1000 or something..
revs to like 5000 in neutral but i didnt want to rev more (car was cold) . .
anyway..
i thought i hooked it up to wrong coil pack..
tried both..
now on bottom still no luck. .
now whats a way i can try to fix it without mucking around to much ? ?
could it just be the tacho ? ? ? ? like it works i know it revs past 4k as in the tacho. .it idles normal ( ithink aabout 1k ).. it is set on 4cyl..
anyway.. any help.. shall be good..
