Tool chests
« on: Oct 24, 2011, 05:52PM »
No, not a box that noss lives in...

I'm looking to line up a decent tool chest for my birthday with some family supplied cash.

I'm wanting something reasonably big, with enough room for most tools (excluding larger power tools) that I have now and might have in the future.

Anyone have a particular brand, size, recommendation?

I have one similar to this, used to be full, but since I moved I got more storage space so I could spread my tools out a little more and be better organized. About $700 depending on where you go.

This, if you can stretch to $2-2.5k.

I have a similar one to the first one Adam posted although think I got it a bit cheaper from memory. I rekon they're the best first cart to buy because it has all the essentials and you can drag it all over the garage without it being too big and bulky.
Datsun boys, we like 'em fast, so we drop 'em low, heavy on the gas!

I have bigger than the first photo but not as big as the second, i really like a roll cab, i have a wooden top on mine to use as a workbench as well with a fold down table off the side which i put the tools im using on that particular job, thatway they dont have far to go to put them back, you can get a good size cab for 7 hundie
