6.5 inch speakers in back of trx

i was just wondeing if 6.5 inch speakers will fit in the back of a trx comfortably without any carving or modifcation. Ive heard that 6 by 9s dont so i was wondering if 6.5 inch does. also wot is da size of the stock back speakers.

I have 6.5" in the back of my trx but i needed spacers as they sit down to far. My old speakers fitted fine without spacers tho. 6x9's will fit with "modifacations" such as chris said, but i would by some nice spacers or make a box/encloser for them. Overall i would recommend 6.5"s.

your back speakers are 6" stock me thinks. You should be able to nicely sit new 6's ontop of the factory cardboard shelf from memory. Just follow the diy on making a new parcel shelf, its not hard, and means you can fit any speaker.

I have fusion 6.5 splits in the rear of my u12 excuitive

i didn't have to bend the metal at all just had to cut out the wood

i got 6x9's in mine with a set of custom spacers (which the car came with) with about 2mm clearance from rear window: what vibration!?! just turn the volume up!!!

Yeha i bent metal in my Pintata T, put in some BOSS Audio cheap assed plastic spacers and i have approximately 2mm hahaha very very very little space between them and the window, so my plan of attack is to jam something soft between the window and the speaker ;) I know it works, but i used a pad of paper, which isnt the ideal look hehe, so im thinkin a blanket or something of the like material.

you can get stuff that is like double sided tape but only sticky on one side. I used it on my brake light because the rattling was giving me the shits.
