Title: AEM plug and play ecu ka24de
Post by: deviate on Aug 28, 2012, 03:26PM
I have found a de ems plug and play system and was wondering what you guys thought of the idea instead of a daughter board because I want to run my trx as flex fuel after the de goes in

Here's the link

Yeah but I also wanted the extra tunability and you throw a nistune chip on top of that and your at about the same price anyway

I was looking at using that AEM ecu, but it is not as flexible as i need it to be.

Perfectly fine though for what you are after.

Umm I'm a bit of a noob with ecu's so youll have to explain why it wasn't flexible enough for what you need and could you or anyone else recommend a good tuner with a dyno

stuff like individual cylinder fuel / ignition trim. Megasquirt 3 with the MS3X board has a shitload of people doing work on it constantly since it's open source.

I wouldn't recommend it in your situation though, the AEM will do everything you need it to.

Ok so I went ahead and got the aem and all I can say is DON'T GET ONE IN QLD
Nobody wants to go near it as I am finding out they are a pain in the ass to tune and the only aem tuners in au are in nsw
