Hell yeah....but they turn your rims black with brake dust. I might get em again for the R32 calipers.

Yeah, pretty happy apart from dirty wheels, i managed to get the rotors that hot that afterward they had a purplish-blue tinge to them. Been on nearly 2 years and the fronts are getting kinda low now.

Just resurrecting this thread instead of starting a new one..

I've gone through 2 sets of front pads in the last 5 months  ::) My current ones lasted 1.5 months because of the slotted rotors I have. Is $183 the best price I can get the greenstuff for these days? - That was through autopro. If I can't find anything better by tomorrow night I'll just have to order through them I guess.

Not that it would really help you but here in geelong there is a place that sells them for $165. They're called Geelong Clutch and Brake, in south geelong.

Go to a clutch/brake specialist chris, they will be able to help you out at around the $160 mark I would think.

My first set cost me about $160 through autobarn before they jacked up their profit margins, my current set for the R32 4 piston calipers cost me $160 through a brake/clutch specialist near me; the same set of pads were retailing at autobarn for over $250.  >:(

Ok cheers guys. Went to the city today to a brake specialist and ordered a set. Originally he wanted $185 but we split the difference and $170 it is. Reckons he can't do it for $160 because he has to pay for freight which is fair enough.

How long should I expect them to last with my slotted rotors? Hopefully they'll last a lot longer and produce less dust then my previous "compacted camel turds" lol.

Spotted Chad frantically waving out of his car window in town too hehe :)

I installed my slotted front rotors and EBC pads on the 2nd of September '05... the car had 104,600km on it.

Its done 115,800km now... so 11,200km on the new pads and almost 7 months.  There is still over half the pad there as well, maybe 3-4mm of wear? :)

They should last you a fair while chris, keep in mind my car is auto, hence the brakes are used more.  I'm very happy with the pads.
