U12 trx tacho 4 sr20

can anyone help me, i trying to hook up the factory tacho to the standard sr20 ecu, I know pin 2 on the ecu is the signal wire, ive got a shift light hook up to it and that works, i've tried 3 tachos and even Aussie gli's circurt board and still no go, any one got any ideas

It should work, I hooked up kranzy's sr20 ecu to his ka24 cluster, I'm pretty sure the tacho works (I would have heard about it by now :P). Are you sure you have the right wire?

im sure i have the right wire i hook up the tacho from the half cut and it worked, the singal is 4.4v and gos down then i rev it, and 12v and earth, does anyone know what volts the trx tacho needs to move

It should be a variable frequency square wave, so you would need an oscilloscope to see the signal on the wire.

I had this problem when i put the sr in my u12. to fix it i put a resistor between a 12v (on with ignition) and the tacho signal wire, it works perfect
