« on: Aug 26, 2006, 01:38PM »
I just replaced both bulbs in each headlights with white lights bulb but still get a yellow tinge! How can i fix it please? I've been told the lense goes yellow over time because of UV rays  ??? Anyone know how to fix?

Those bulbs are only about 2500-3000k, that's not enough to look white white

and anyway, i thought only plastic goes yellow due to UV, not glass.

yer... glass isn't affected by UV...
it could be the backing maybe?

to get a more white colour you have to get blue-white I think.
blue white looks rad anyway.

You could stump up for some Philips BlueVision globes if you want the blue-white look, personally I wouldn't waste the money (I can't stand the glare from high colour temperature globes).  I bought Narva Plus 50's - well worth the $20-30 or so IMHO
