singning from Malaysia :)
« on: Nov 3, 2011, 07:55PM »
Hello people,

I'm a newbie signing in from Malaysia...

I stmbled on this site through my search for resources on Nissan Bluebird u12...I must say.... the community here rocks...!!!

Looking forward to making new friends and sharing resources.

Btw, my car is a Nissan Bluebird 2.0 Super Select, it was assembled locally in Malaysia and assigned to the factory manager. well kept, but shows signs of aging with some rust spots here and there.

It's running on a sr20de twina cam power plant.

although aged....still runs like a dream.

Signing out,
Sudha :)

Ill fight you. May even throw a bar of soap your way. Maybe a few wax strips and some clip on brembo brake calipers for your fooly sic civic.

hi Peeps,

sorry for the long silence. Here's a pic of my ride in Alpine white. this is the only one i have taken after a new coat of paint. Lost most pf the pics when my pc crashed.

She is due for some restoration as soon as I can afford it.

Planning a coat of bright silver for her.

Currently stock running on a 15" nissan sentra rims with 195/60/15 rubbers.

Stock suspension, stock interior.

Habib,

thanks for not deleting...LOL!

Anyway...my car was assembled by Nissan in Malaysia as was assigned to one of the directors in the company in 1989. So It was a Nissan company car for many years. it was sold to an Editor of a local motoring magazine who kept it in good shape. i am the third owner.

The U12 was introduced in the market here in 1989...but was replaced by the u13 in 1992. It had a very short shelf life.

The car was sold in two trim levels, 1.8 and 2.0 - Both were the CA power plants.

BTW - I also drive the following:-

1991 BMW E32 730i (V8)
1994 Ford Telstar V6 (KL-ZE)
1997 Ford Telstar I4
1980 Mercedes Benz 200

And I like the stock sleeper look...  ;)

Cheers.

Lol.. bit of a mission to edit your post with the link you gave.  :P

Welcome again mate, loving your take of cars especially the German makes.  ;)

Any plans in general for the U12 while keeping the sleeper look?

Hi Habib,

Thanks  ;D

for, the plan is to keep the car stock standard on the outside. No kits and spoilers.

however, plan to do the following:

Silver Paint on the body

Interior refurbishment - plan to keep the dark brown theme.

Suspension mods - either custom coil-overs or stock standard shocks with sport springs.

but, i am also eyeing the possibility of putting in an sr20 neo vvl with 6 spd tiptronic shift from a later primera. it has been done before in Malaysia.

But I guess I'll have to wait for the pocket to bloat a little.

Hi budgie... Thanks for the heads up. Yes...it is interesting and I am very keen to explore it.

Frankly speaking, i was on the verge of selling off my U12 about 3 months ago... then I stumbled on to this site... I changed my mind  ;D

there is a forum in malaysia for Nissan's but the U12 community is rather small...so you gan guess the kind of support one gets...

but here, it's something else  ;D

I'm reinspired  ;D
