Ordered audio equipment
« on: Apr 26, 2005, 05:30PM »
after driving around all day  getting quotes and listening to different setups i finally decided on this:

Boston 6.5" splits - front (was going to be focals but they wouldnt fit)
Boston 3way 6x9's -rear
Pioneer 4ch amp
Rockford 12" sub

getting installed on thursday by INCAR,

what do you's think?

Looks good, yeah i would lose the pioneer too... purhaps later down the track when u save some cashola
the rockford 12" (P2?) will be nice :) mine pumps like there is no tomorrow :P

focals fit in the front, i got focal 6.5" in my door... you need to remove the plastic stock mounts and mount them on with MDF

EDIT: i can take a pic of my stock speakers with the plastic removed if your unsure what im talking bout

1200 + installation is good :) if it was without installation id would be concerned. Keep us updated on the stereo bud!

Sell the 6x9's, save cash to buy a better sub/box combo.
They are dead weight.
Are the bostons the fs60? Swap the sub for tw-305c.
Apart from that seems a little high, Was thinking $1400 installed sounds right.
Does installation include sound deadening/sealing ?
Let us know how it sounds when you get it back.

haha yea i got that noise! it was like a whizzing noise! from the amp and it would become more high pitched when the engines revs went up it was pretty funny.
