horror smash at bathurst
« on: Oct 6, 2006, 06:35PM »
Big accident on the top of the mountain. Mark porter in a holden spun after clipping a wall and Dave clark in a ford slammed into the drivers side door. Porter had to be stabilised on the track and both drivers were taken to Bathurst hospital in a serious condition. Last I heard the race was put on hold. Clark was menat to drive the TEAM BOC falcon with Dale brede.
Thinkin there will be a few accidents this year as Steven richards had a prang halfway down conrod straight and caused $100 000> worth of damage. He said a rear tyre blew out (scary at 270 kmh). He said he thinks the car may have become airborne but dosn't know for sure as his eyes were closed.
There was also another prang but not sure who it was and who it involved.

Its not making a good atmosphere with the king of the mountain dying and a big crash.
Your car may be able to go faster.
But I can go any where. except into a garage, underground carpark, bridge...

2 sticks and manual locking hubs. have to get out to drive it around

Clark did well to spin the car sideways to avoid spearing Porter. That corner's blind as.

There's been another accident this morning in the Historics. bloke in a Mini Cooper, I don't know anymore details - just what I saw on Teletext.
I'm so far behind at work, I'm almost retro!

shit....

man this isn't getting any better.
Don't let the opinions of the average man sway you. Dream, and he thinks you're crazy. Succeed, and he thinks you're lucky. Acquire wealth, and he thinks you're greedy. Pay no attention. He simply doesn't understand.

to be fair, it wouldn't be ANTRX if we stayed on topic.

and if someone wasn't cranky at Chr1s for something he said...

about the other driver...
Quote from: news.com.au
Clark, 28, regained consciousness this morning and is breathing unaided after he was taken to Nepean Hospital in Penrith in a critical condition on Friday.

His Optima Sport team said the Adelaide father of three is recovering well from a punctured right lung and has fractures to his pelvis, right arm and leg, while tests have not revealed any significant spinal or head injuries.

Clark woke from his induced coma with his wife Leah, eight-month-old daughter Reese and parents by his bedside.
