To remove or not to?
« on: Jan 17, 2006, 11:09PM »
I'm thinking my car will look alot "cleaner" or "smoother" without the black stripe that runs along the car. If i was to get rid of it would i just get it painted or remove it completely? If anyone feels the itch to photochop-go ahead!

Will it leave a mark? Like leave glue behind or anything. Also seriously. Wheels or hubcaps man. Ur car looks like any other nice pintara.

it doesn't hurt to be unique. I'd say paint it. maybe white. at the same time i'd say pick a clashing colour for your exterior. i.e. red or green or yellow (or maybe something not so clashing) and incorporate it in little bits all around the car. i.e. wipers, brake callipers, side trim.

if thats black skirt you've got on the side of your car, paint that white too. (can't really tell from the pic)

thats just the bottom of the car painted black. my car looked exactly like that about 3 months ago, except it had a blue pinstripe on it as well on the upper section of the door. originally i was going to paint my black stripe, but i've decided to leave it, because i have white wheels, the black stripe breaks up all the white just nicely and prevents the car looking monotonous. you cant really remove it because then you're left with the cutaway that the black stripe was mounted in on the bumpers, so painting is the only real option.. just make sure you get the paint you use colour matched or it will stand out and look hideous.

I'd say remove the black stripes all the way around, smooth it over and get it painted, that would make it very unique.

Oh and yea painting it silver is very tacky!!

I had mine painted from a deep steal colour to silver and it made a huge diffrence. I also had a gay red pin stripe on my car that went quick tee hee
