One of my workmates just bought a new VZ Thunder S, and he enquired about getting those vents fitted to his car as a dealer option. And they said after getting the guard, vent and light assembly, and then blending the new paint in he's looking at $1200 PER SIDE :o

i personally think the angles don't match... a u13 is fairly soft curved and the chrome part with the light presents a fairly angular surface... but that is IMO...maybe the same grill with a more eliptical light part?

Yeah, dealer's love to rip people off  >:(

If anyone's interested getting it done, just enquire at a body mods place or possibly a panel beater.

Yeah i don't think $1200  you can buy the gaurds for commodore not painted for 450 each ... then maybe  what 2 - 300 to paint

little more mods for other cars

That's a very steep price for them. If you look around you can pick them up from a few places for $125 a pair.
In fact, there's a pair going on Ebay for $48 new.
Go see a panel beater if you're still interested, I think it could be done for a reasonable price.
