Electric mirrors
« on: Dec 10, 2005, 03:53PM »
So i managed to pick up a set of electric mirrors, however they don't have the control unit (the little joypadish thing which selects between mirrors and moves them around).

would i be wrong to assume that all electrc mirrors (from any car at all) would run under the same idea?  so suppose i took a control unit from a honda or a holden, and used it with the electric mirrors (each mirror only has two wires coming from it), would it be possible for it to work?
Project Siltara has been chipped, nismofied and getting exhausted

Dunno.  But I know noss has a HNU12 electric mirror control unit (with the 'flip' thing as well).

I know because I gave it to him...  Maybe PM him and see what he says?  I don't think he is using it at all.

I can get the unit for you at small cost, and small postage fee (8 AUD).

Dont you need the loom that runs from that unit to the doors?

I had a mirror off some kind of Nissan that had 3 wires coming out of it, so they wouldn't all be the same circuitry.
