yeah i was tossin up btween spraying the whole console or half of it ( the radio aircon ashtry etc...) so i just did to see wat it lookd like b4 i did the whole lot thanx man....
i might spray it all 2morro and ill post up the pic after ive dun it if anyone would like to see the whole lot done...

o yeah i forgot to mention hopefully soon i will b gettin a steering wheel to match so yeah the wheel kinda feels like a big bus sterring wheel lol need a nice smaller matchin wheel

looks good... i've had my dash all white and its looks great but the only set back is it looks good for the first month or so then its starts to get dirty and its hard to clean thats why i redone mine blue. good luck with it.

paint those dials white! thats what i've done, i've also got a white air con controller and a white ring around the shifter like you do mate. top stuff so far.

bright interiors seem to be the go in mags and so on
willl look nice if u complete it all in white, and chrome and purhaps some yellow highlights

Its your car, but that panel sticks out like the proverbial dogs balls. Usually on cars with different coloured/chromed panels interior wise they are done that way to highlight something, ie gauges. This is just sorta like...grey, grey, grey, grey WHITE! grey, grey. grey.

The white, grey, red colour thing just isn't happening sista.

umm nah i think its the original tape deck... i had to go to my local nissan dealer lol to get the code for it haha a f***in code atleast noone will steal it and if they do good luck tryin to turn it on lol

hard to say, grab some magazines (like autosalon, fast 4's and so on) and check out some ideas
the really dark against really light is a little argh hehe, all dark or all light is the way to go

looks ok, i'm going to do something smilar but not such a busy colour, also i would do the full centre console as well as in the dash just so it blends in, will post my pics up once it's done and you can tell me what you think

oh so thats what an original TRX radio looks like. Mine was different. My mums 92 ford festiva radio (which is sitting on the garage floor) is exactly the same. And yes the sercurity coding is F*cking stupid these days. Thats 1 of the reasons i took it out.

I've seen 5 different 'original' decks in Pintaras/corsairs/TRX's. I think they chucked in whatever they wanted at the time.

I've seen about 6 different models of car with the same style radio as the TRX. Skyline, Pintara, Laser, Festiva... I think they were one of the cheaper OEM radios around at the time.

hey that looks decent!

its giving me ideas that if i get a new dash, center console and the trim around the steering wheel that I might give it a paint job too! (there are some parts where it bolts up and stuff is broken so it doesnt seem to hold on well and movie a bit)

If i get new panels or turn my corsair into a pintara front end conversion (more likely as pintara parts are more common) its gonna need a paint job on the outside anyway, and white craps me off on the outside so hrmm!

but great job anyway dude! looks pretty decent in the photos

Didn't you know it doubles your power to the rear wheels, Chad?

It is looking alot better with more white, but you definitely need to do the rest of the dash. I reckon do the gauge surround white, and then the bit with your air-con vents silver or a bright colour... don't forget to clear-coat the silver.

i was thinking bout the vents and shit like that but i have no idea as to get the thing out Ive tried lol any help there? ( i need to buy my paint too!)

Check out the interior section of the FSM.

To get that bit out you need to pull off the bit you've already painted white, then undo all the screws along the bottom of the black section, the ones below the 'hood' of the dash (look directly above the steering column), then flip your steering wheel down as low as it will go and pull the top of the black bit out first. I find the easiest way to get it out is to stick my fingers in the screw holes up the top and pull. It's a bit tough to get out the first couple of times but once you get the hang of it it's a piece of cake.

All the Executive and GLi Pintaras came without a clock there, and yes, it is just a filler plate thingy. The vent section is exactly the same whether you have a clock or not. I put the clock out of my Corsair in my Pintara a week after I got it. All the wiring for the clock is already there too.

Waldo, I'd scan you the pages out of the user's manual for how to set the clock, but I don't have a working scanner.
Here's what the manual says:
With the radio off, press the 'CLK' button and, at the same time turn the radio on.
Release the clock button. the clock will be displayed with the minute digits flashing.
use the up and down button to adjust the minutes display.
press the 'clk' button to switch between minutes and hours.
turn off the radio when you're done and the seconds will reset to 00 and the clock will start normal operation.
There is a small 'P' to the right of the display to signify PM

yeah i dare-say spotlight would sell the white vinyl. a handful of ppl here have retimmed their doors and what-not, and most of them say that it takes a bit of effort, but essentially not that hard.

perhaps try searching for other ppl here that hav done this or search under "retrim"

Well... Ive re-trimmed my doors !!white!! of coarse

Jono well i can answer your question now... i just bought adhesive spray and lucky my dad being a carpenter back in the day had a set of rollers so i used it to press all over the door at the bottom I was a bit worried weather it would stay or not but it has so far.. i guess time will tell.....

I'd like to install power windows at some point, if I source some and the appropriate inner door cover + handles etc, I might retrim them in a red fabric.

That, or a plushy dark bluebird interior.
