'84 Bluebird TRX fuel supply problem
« on: Sep 27, 2009, 12:23PM »
I have a '84 Bluebird TRX with L20B Engine. It has fuel delivery problems after it warms up. Good fuel pressure when its cold, but as it heats up the pump stops pumping fuel but the pump is still working. I'll be driving around the block for a short time then engine stalls. I would refill the float chamber in the carby, then engine starts straight away, then continues to pump for a short time before cutting out again.

I have already tried new pump (fascet)
New rubber hoses fitted
Checked fuel pickup in the tank, found no strainer on the end.
Refilled the tank with new fuel (just incase)
Blew out the fuel line from front to back with air pressure including the return pipe.

Has anyone experienced this problem or have any idea's?? It's a mystery? I've have had auto electricians and fuel specialists look at the car and they cant figure it out either. Your suggestions would be appreciated.
