What About Using A Bluebird KA24?
« on: Dec 30, 2002, 10:56AM »
Hey Guys,

I was just looking through posts of different engines [SR20 turbo and non) and I was thinking, well what about the engine out of a bluebird?

Its the same engine but comes loaded with 112KW and 210nm Torque, and thats before the Mods go on
Bluebirds were pretty nippy, and thats with a heavier body and all.
Imagine the gains in a Pintara!

Or maybe find out whats different between the two models, do that first (dont ask me what, i know the compression ratio is different} probably something to do with the computer mainly (maybe you could swap them? I dunno too much about that) and then start with the extra Mods, you'd be looking at a lot more Kw's

Just Food For Thought!

Brian

Too expensive and not worth it. For the money you outlay for a KA24DE w/ecu/tranny etc, you can drop a CA18DET or SR20DET for the same money with endless potential in either turbo engine.
