I'm expecting (with all the right parts of course) my turbo engine buildup to take around 6 months, so i don't blow huge amounts of cash all at once, and so i can take the time to make sure everything is done 110% correct.
There will be some parts i'll be developing while working on the new engine, most notably a crank scraper to reduce windage losses from oil being spun at 6000rpm.
The crank scrapers will be available to everyone, NA or turbo, makes no difference, and should only go for about $90 ea but provide a gain in the region of 5-7% peak power by reducing windage loss in the sump.
The two diagrams on
http://www.crank-scrapers.com home page explain how they work.
They kind of look like this:
and are attached between the block and the oil pan (sump).
