Pacific Coast Drive USA
« on: Jun 23, 2009, 11:40AM »
Has anyone done the Pacific coast drive (San Francisco - LA)  I'm doing it in a few weeks and wanted to know how far I should expect to get in the first day so I can book accomodation.
Was looking at Big Sur national park as its roughly half way.

Also if anyone knows of stops I should definately take let me know  ;)  Got plenty of ideas from books/websites, but thats not the same as personal experiences.

Cheers,

Car wise we are hiring a car, were going to do a convertable but too expensive so probably just a Dodge something.
