Charity fun run. Support much appreciated
« on: Aug 7, 2008, 10:37PM »
Hey all,

Well I've decided I'm doing a 12km fun-run (more like death run  ;D) to raise money for a charity. The rest of the family is also doing a 6km walk. My brother was born with a congenital heart disease and Heartkids SA has provided support to our family with an incredible amount of information, playgroups and other support.

I know this isn't really done on here but it would be fantastic if anyone could contribute donation wise. Any contribution over $2 is tax deductible (cha ching) and would make a real difference. We are aiming for $1000 but any contribution that could bring us closer or even over would be awesome.

If you would be generous enough please visit our Team Site: http://www.everydayhero.com.au/Lisa_Guy

Thankyou so much for your time, we are very gracious  :)

Jaye

no dramas at all man

good luck on your family's walk and your run.  its definately a worthy cause  :)

get amongst it guys, i've done a quick calculation: if EVERYONE here gives at least one measly dollar, then cruizer would've raised $2098! (this is correct at time of writing).

ITS THAT SIMPLE!   8)

so much for 1000 :P

good stuff chief

Yeh we can do that the only thing is I don't have a donation book yet. My parents have gone to Melb for my brothers operation for a fortnight so I won't be able to get you a receipt yet.

hehe, good stuff man. i actually love that feeling of pushing your body to its absolute limits, then MORE! i suppose that's why i "enjoy" endurance mtb events - its HELL whist you're doin it, but then when u finally do finish, you feel like you've accomplished something

good luck with the run - keep the trainin up!

Did the run this morning. Managed to do it in around 1hr. I'll know the exact time soon.

We managed to raise around $6000 in total (including cash donations)  ;D

Thanks to all that contributed, you know who you are  ;)
