Post by: callummm on Jul 29, 2012, 07:20PM
recently i left my lights on all day, which resulted in a dead battery..recharged the battery but on the night the car was acting weird not going over about 60k's, unless struggling or going downhill i tried it again before going to mechanic because im a poor student but not its topping about 80k's before it struggles no idea what it could be no smoke, turns on fine ... any ideas?

How long was the battery on charge for?

I might suggest buying a new one if you have had the battery for a few years.

In the interim, leave it on charge over night, might bring it good again.

Lol.

+1 on what SSS said. Give that bad boy a good solid charge. Deeply discharged batteries need a good deep cycle charge. Just make sure if it isn't a sealed battery that there is enough water. Not too much though as deep charging will cause some of it to come out.
