Pod filter on ATTESA?
« on: Sep 5, 2006, 11:31AM »

Howdy people.

Has anyone fitted a pod filter to there attesa? I fitted one to mine and it ran like a piece of crap. Slow to build boost, lost a lot of low down urge. Any idea's?

Iv got an apexi power intake pod on my u13 attesa and it runs well (apparently the highest flowing pod filter on the market). What brand pod filter did you have on your attesa? Cheep barnd pods can sometimes cause problems, Also iv herd the oil from the oiled type pod filters can cause damage to the hot wire in the airflow meter.

Had one of those Drift brand filters. Not oiled. What brand adaptor?

Id verify that the oil does damage the AFM. One of my threads was about my AFM sensor playing up hard... and i bet you 100 bucks its cause my K&N was heavily oiled when I first installed it.

It works fine now... after a few hundred kays.

I would personally check that all the leads are plugged back in correctly.

Then try fit the stock filter on, and if it works try another POD filter.

Yeah I'm with the others, being non-oiled it can't have fouled your sensor, so check to make sure your AFM is plugged in properly.

How is your adapter set up. Sometimes if the adapter is a bit funny it can make the air flow through your AFM read wrong.
