ive herd lukey extractors are pretty good, im getting em soon on the car, i got quoted $315 fitted and thats stainless steel.

not sure on the specs on how much they can achieve, but with use of a chip for the ecu, it can be a substantial increse.

ask carline mufflers, there a franchise, so there should be one near you.

hopefully there the same price as i got last quoted, i think mitza also confirmed that price too, as i rang around and got sum unbelievable figures from exhaust shops.

I had a (severely) cracked header and the shop only had motivator 4-2-1 extractors (by walker or lukey-not sure which) in stock, so I got those for about $320 fitted.

Genie stainless were about $340 but it would have been a delay to get them in, therefore no car for about 4 days (over weekend).

Also could have got Hitech's for about the same price as genie, but the shop said although they are good performance wise, they use very thin metal, prone to wearing out quicker.

Once I got extractors, the gap in rev range at 2500-2800 was heaps bigger, therefore I recomend getting the chip for 2.4L engines of Adam which removes the gap, among other things.

Are all of these 4-2-1 extractors or are some brands 4 into 1? I know my genie ones are 4-2-1.

i rang carline mufflers (hornsby)..and they quoted me 350 for lukey extractors (not stainless) ...it was going to cost another 150 for installation on top of that ...joczy are u sure ...urs include installation?

i think i might do the rest of the exhaust first ...

...are extractors hard to fit if ur doing it ur self?.....will they bolt straight on ... or do u need to muck around with the exhaust pipe a bit?

There is your first problem Resin!
Try calling places that are not situated on the "North Shore"

Go west like Liverpool, Bankstown or even blacktown. You'll find they are much cheaper.

I think 4 - 2 - 1 are better for low down, where as 4 - 1 are better for top end? Could be mistaken of course.

ill ring carline tomorrow, but im sure it was 315 fitted. this was a problem with bay mufflers at birghton le sands, they quoted me 250 for extracors fitted, mitza rings and they tell him 500, then i ring back and get like quoted 480.. i dunno what these exhaust guys are thinking.

i think the best bet is to find extractord at the cheapest price and get them straight away, as i see carline have changed the quote on urs resin

ooo well, i guess some shops are greedy and others wanting business.. its all very confusing.

btw i checked back from old pm's and it was around 4 months ago i was looking for them. so i guess thats when i got the quote.

OK - Do yourselves all a favour and try and budget in stainless steel items.  These have a much better wear resistance than the cast items and will last nearly twice as long

HiTech make an extremely good product and from what i believe there design had come from some extensive dyno testing

Always shop west when looking for products as these shops have less overheads to contend with than shops closer to the shore

The 4 into 1 extractors are a race style and designed for top end performance

What is the point of a signature, who REALLY reads it??
