Anyone know the answer to this Engine Question?

Ok been typing in KA24E into goodle looking at pics and found something called a KA24DER.what's this? is it a custom made KA or some sort of cheap SR? from the pics i saw it dont look to bad :) Anyone know anything about this Engine?

I believe its typo and they have gone to type KA24DET and insted of T have hit the R button on yeee old key pad

correct me if im wrong

Surfing google they reckon it's a supercharged ka24de which they sell kits for.

superchargers rock, turbos are GAY (funny I have 2 turbo cars, still like sc's on a V8 mmmm)

Im with u on that one.Superchargers are way better then turbo's.

It was a BDS blower actually.

One of the pipedreams for my daily trx is an Eaton M62 blower like this:



On a custom intake manifold to mount it of course. Only needs 5-6psi to give it a metric ton more midrange torque.
Problem is, sorting out the belt drive with the master cyl etc will be a pain.

Wouldnt you mount it where the AC compressor is?  or somehow move the powersteering and put it in there?

You could col, but the intake path would end up being too long.

I'll see what I can come up with, i've got the dimensions for the M62 casing so I may try and knock up a 1:1 mockup to trial different mounting.
