I've got a JVC head unit that's about 4 years old and I have never had a problem with it.

I've never had a problem with the Jvc head units either, and i've owned 3 different ones. However, my jvc stacker/cd changer has had to be repaired 3 times (under warranty, luckily). Another friend of mine has also had problems with his jvc stacker, but his jvc head unit (same as mine) is still fine.
