Hey why don`t we get technical and make fully custom shelf to advertise ANTRX?

Now i can do this piece of piss as i`ve done few of these now but anyone who has a little bit of know how could do it as well.

Make a rectangular cutout in the middle of the parcel shelf between the speakers big enough so you can fit a piece of etched perspex in with the WWW.ANTRX.COM logo.
Now to mount this rebate the underneath of the shelf 2mm more than the perspex thickness (to compensate for the sticky sealant)
Once you`ve glued the perspex in screw in a couple cleats just as a fail safe measure to hold the perspex in
Now buy a couple of neons and mount under the perspex with a switch on the dash

Presto a ANTRX logo shining up onto the rear window of your car as your driving along

For even better results it pays to mount the neons in an enclosed box painted gloss white inside as it transmits more light.

If you need any more info on this just ask
What is the point of a signature, who REALLY reads it??

A mate had "NISSAN" in the middle of his parcel shelf...  Made it with blue perspecs and alluminium backlit with a blue neon... Projected and awesome looking logo onto the rear window.
Lisa: Dad, we did something very bad! Homer: Did you wreck the car? Bart: No. Homer: Did you raise the dead? Lisa: Yes. Homer: But the car's okay? Bart & Lisa: Uh-huh. Homer: All right then.

Sounds similar to what we did - except we did it to the MB Quart logo in my mates car and Alpine in mine.

plus we also made a complete schematic of the stereo system and grafted them into the display (we were the first ones to come up with it  hehe) and won multiple awards with it as it was new

I can`t take all the credit for this one though as one of the managers of GCCS came up with this idea and we all entered the comp together as group so our stand really stood out

well, i have the 8mm thick parcel shelf already. i should be able to get my hands on some perspex.

i was thinking for my parcel tray, for speaker covers, drilled alluminium squares that are sunken in to the tray so that they are flush with the top of it. what you reckon?

Not quite sure what you mean

Countersinking the blocks into the shelf? - why?
More info would help

well, you have the shelf, carpeted of course, and then instead of the normal speakr covers, have an alluminium square which will cover the speaker, with 5mm holes drilled in it so the sound gets out, and instead of having the alluminium sit above the shelf & look silly, have it sunken into the shelf..

i know what i mean, i dont see how you dont understand  :P

a mate of mine put in his speakers himself, to make it seem like he didnt have anything he got a large sheet of speaker cloth and covererd the entire parcel shelf, it looks like there is nothing there at all, very clever trick and one i think i'll be using unless i decide that i can do this perspex trick with the neons =)

are neons inside the car legal at all?

What do ralliart do??? make stickers???

noss - why not use another sheet of mdfover top of one now?
You could then make cutouts of any shape (design) where the speakers go and use about 10mm of the outer edge piece you cut out as a speaker grille cover
So in end complete shelf will look bare unless you pull out the speaker covers which will expose the speakers (much like home hifi have done for years but modded to suit car audio
I`m sure you`ll get drift of what i`m saying but i just can`t figure out how to put it to words clearly
