i know noss has adjustable lifters and milford got a billet cam to eliminate the lifter noise the R4 profile causes. has anyone successfully had their cam caps machined down? found a little bit of info around about it just wonering if anyones actually had it done and what they paid.

I had it done when i had my 3 angle valve job done and some other work. Cam still is a reground custom spec item from wade.
It wasn't quiet all the time; oil level and hence pressure plays a big part with quietening lifters. From memory it was about $20 to machine all the caps.
My next head will be going back to normal caps as i have adjustable lifters.

Yep. And noss's.
I may consider doing another set, but you'd be looking at $400 all up, and you would have to provide me with a set of lifters to be modified and a rocker cover.
