I dont wanna sound like a old man but if someone gets killed because you stole a warning sign you can be held liable.

I have heard of someone stealing a stop sign and someone got killed because of the sign was missing, they got a manslaughter charge for it.

Think of the consequences.

I didnt see any signs there that could of "Killed" anyone. Maybe the 50 sign but theres usualy 10000 of them on a road.

And as much as you would like to think, you stealing street signs isnt that cool.

The SR20 is co-incidental, and quite funny to be honest. The 50 sign, and danger swimming and all that shit, they are everywhere. How often do you see an SR20 sign?

I approve of the sr20 sign.... besides it was just on the side of the road :D

however, must say I disapprove of your "collection" unbalanced... I mean as people have pointed out there's a safety issue, but heck - even the L.J. hooker "home open" sign pisses me off a bit. They're not free and I think you'd be surprised how much a sign like that can cost!

We only have to SR20 cos it is actually something funny, we wouldn't think of taking any other signs just for the fun of it.

To be honest, it was a bit of a sport for me at one point.
I was part of a group of about 10 people around Adelaide and we were always just trying to get signs that were "cooler" than the last... And the 50 was just cos I think 50kms on the road that its on is frickin' ridiculous! lol

And I understand its a safety issue, thats why i never took any signs that
a) there wasnt another of (ie. the black arrow being on a corner with 5 other black arrows, and the danger high voltage sign was placed about 3 meters from another one on the other side of a doorway into a powerstation)
b) were stop signs, give way signs, intersection markings or anything like that
c) didnt have some kind of reason. Meaning, i didnt ever take a sign for no reason. It was either a challenge or i specifically wanted a sign of that design for a particular reason.

Anyways, im not going to defend my point any further. In theory it may seem like some of them could be missed (meaning, without them it poses a threat) but if that were the case, I wouldnt have taken them.

I think the sign is pretty cool. And the people who dont think its cool are just jealous because they dont have one. And i think your gunna have trouble finding a KA 24 sign because there normally in multiples of 5.

Jason, i dont think the reaction is towards your SR20 sign, but mroe the stealing of high voltage signs etc. I think the guys on here are worried about the safety threats of not having the important signs.

I dont think it really matters if Swan Reach is 20km's away and drivers dont know it.

yes it does. When i noticed the sign saying TY ( Toodyay) 30 i realised i was heading the wrong bloody way.
Had a long drive home and i wasnt exactly sitting at a speed limit.
